Oh you’re here and now we can do the speech so let’s go! hi I’m Jamie and I am going to tell you about the no 1 toy LEGO!!!!!
I will tell you the history of LEGO, interesting LEGO facts and interesting places to see LEGO.
the history of LEGO.
Did you know that LEGO is over 50 years old + guess what the actual year is its in 1949! cool! you want to know who made LEGO? Well the answer is right here. it’s Ole Kirk Who was born in Denmark. I wonder where he made the first LEGO brick/bricks? In a factory I guess? Wait it says here in a garage!? well it isn’t lying is it? Now back to the LEGO topic.
Interesting LEGO facts
I have a lot to tell you about this it’s my most favourite part of the speech so let’s do this!
did you know that 560000000000 LEGO parts are sold ,now is that interesting or is it interesting? no I really mean it. approximately 36000000 LEGO parts are produced every year. If all the LEGO bricks were divided between each person in the world they would have about 62 of them.
- what is the most expensive LEGO set in the world? A. a LEGO statue of batman thats worth $27000! it weighs 227kg approximately 8 of me!
Interesting places to see LEGO
There is not one LEGOland but there is six! The largest one is in a place called England. Some LEGOlands have LEGO hotels and the TV, outside and boardgames are all made of LEGO. Everything is made of LEGO! They have different themed rooms like Pirate ones, Kingdom ones and even Adventure ones.
Every year in New Zealand there is a LEGO competition held. To win is quite simple, but you are going to need a lot of LEGO bricks to pull this one off. All you do is build an AMAZING creation of LEGO. Take a photo of it ... or two, and send them to the judges (in the mail). You can win $1500 and a trip to LEGOland!
I really like LEGO and how you can use your imagination with it. And I think everyone should have LEGO so start collecting your LEGO sets today (the LEGO company is going to be really happy with me!).
Thanks for listening - hey wait I still want a LEGO set.
